The Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro is advertised as an open-back studio headphone for professional mixing, mastering, and editing audio. However, it sounds amazing while playing role-playing games such as Fallout 4 and Final Fantasy XV due to its wide soundstage and imaging. 

As expected of an open-back headphone, the soundstage feels very open, transparent, and spacious.
